First tries with Fimo

I told you yesterday that I've decided to start working with Fimo ®. I also promised to show you what I've done so far, and so, here are my three little tries. But be indulgent : I'm a novice. ^^

So, on Friday, I was definitely decided to try my hand at doing Fimo ® (Yes, even if I'm hopeless in arts and crafts !) and I started by searching some information about Fimo ® on the Internet. So if anyone wants to start working with Fimo, I share with you what I found.

In short :
- Fimo ® is poisonous. So be sure to wash your hands after modelling and don't let children play with that. And don't put your noz inside. =D
- There's two types of Fimo ® : Soft and Classic. The soft one is more malleable. I like this one. ^^
- Heat it up in order to harden your creations. And do it according to what is written on the modelling clay packaging. On mine, it is written : 110 ° C during 30 minutes. But you can heat your creations 20 minutes only if they are thin. That was enough for me. Then wait until they are not hot any more. (If you not patient, you can put them into cold water.)
- Only use a varnish made specially for Fimo ®.
- Never mix modelling clays from different brands.

So I decided to buy two small bags of Fimo ®. And... I like it very much ! After all, I loved playing with modelling clay when I was a child. ^^

But I also heard about another modelling clay, which is a paper clay called Fuwa-Fuwa ®. It looks like mossy, it's not poisonous and it hardens out in the open. The only disadvantage is that we must buy it in Japan. Motivated as I was, on Sunday, I ordered Fuwa-Fuwa ® paper clay with nice moulds and different colors on Jbox.com.

Now, I'm going to keep up train myself with Fimo ®, wait for my Fuwa order... and tell you what I think about it. ^^ I has a hunch that I will do things with both Fimo ® and Fuwa because they really look like different.
Anyway... wait and see. ^^
